A boy was stabbed with a knife on a Southwest Corridor Park basketball court on the afternoon of March 2, according to the State Police.
The stabbing happened on the courts along Prentiss Street between the Boston Police Department headquarters and the Alice Taylor Homes housing development. The victim, whose identity was not released because he is a juvenile, was transported to Brigham and Women’s Hospital.
Janet Hunkel, president of the Parkland Management Advisory Committee (PMAC), a resident group that advises the state about the park, said that she has heard the victim was not a local resident.
The State Police have jurisdiction over the park. They are not releasing any information about suspects and continue to investigate, according to spokesperson Trooper Thomas Murphy.
