New Garden

The Monks Garden at the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum along Evans Way reopened last month after undergoing a redesign by Michael Van Valkenburgh, whose recent work includes the Brooklyn Bridge Park. The garden, which is named after Gardner’s favorite niece, Ogla Monks, has been renovated on several occasions since opening in 1903, the last time being in the early 1990s. (Courtesy Photo)
