We welcome the hundreds of new residents, most of them students, who arrived in Mission Hill over the past week.
For those who have lived or worked here for a year, a decade or a lifetime, there can only be envy for those who are enjoying their first experiences of the great things this neighborhood offers.
A morning coffee at Mike’s Donuts. A visit to the healing shrine at Mission Church. A walk through Fitzgerald Park. Ribs at AK’s or an exotic pizza at Penguin.
Over in the LMA, a wander through the Gardner Museum or a gawking at Harvard’s medical curiosity museum.
New eyes are seeing all of those things—and many more—for the first time this week, and that’s one way this old neighborhood always lives again.
