Nora Moreno Cargie, a Mission Hill resident, was recently named president of the Tufts Health Plan Foundation, according to a press release.
“Nora’s new designation is in recognition of her accomplishments this past year and her growing role within the organization,” said James Roosevelt Jr., Tufts Health Plan’s chief executive officer, according to the press release.
She joined Tufts Health Plan Foundation a year go as executive director and vice president of corporate citizenship.
Moreno Cargie previous work experience includes being the director of global corporate citizenship for the Boeing Company, vice president of communications and development for the Illinois Action for Children and deputy communications director for Barack Obama’s U.S. senatorial campaign in 2004.
Tufts Health Plan Foundation aims to improve the health of communities and gives funding to nonprofits throughout Massachusetts and Rhode Island that focus on healthy living and aging, according to its website.
