Romney gets primary win

Former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney won the state’s Republican Party presidential primary vote on March 6.

Incumbent President Barack Obama was the only Democrat on his party’s ballot.

The Green-Rainbow Party ballot-winner was unclear as the Gazette went to press.

Nationally, it now appears that Obama and Romney, who remains ahead in his party’s race after other “Super Tuesday” primaries on March 6, will be the top presidential candidates fighting it out in the Nov. 6 final election.
