LMA—Wentworth Institute of Technology (WIT) is moving ahead with a long-planned student dorm building at 525 Huntington Ave. that could begin construction as soon as February 2013.
A public meeting to present the plan is slated for July 31 at WIT. [See What’s Up.]
The plan calls for a seven-story dorm housing 305 undergraduate students on the triangle of land between Huntington, Vancouver Street and Louis Prang Street. The former gas station site is currently a park.
WIT aims to open the dorm by fall 2014, according to a project filing submitted this week to the Boston Redevelopment Authority.
