Mission Hill resident pulls papers for local council seat

Richard Giordano, a Mission Hill activist, has pulled election papers to run for the District 8 City Council seat. Mission Hill resident Mike Ross, who currently holds that seat, recently announced his candidacy in the mayoral race.

Giordano is a former aide to several elected officials, including late state Rep. Kevin Fitzgerald, former state Sen. Dianne Wilkerson and former City Councilors Sam Yoon and Maura Hennigan.

Giordano did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

Julianna Strout and Josh Zakim, who both live outside of Mission Hill, also pulled papers for the District 8 race.
