With this year’s Boston Marathon now behind us, I want to take a moment to highlight the incredible generosity of many in our community. For the past six months, I had been fundraising and training for the marathon as a part of Team MR8: a nonprofit organization founded in honor of 8-year-old Martin Richard following his tragic death in the 2013 marathon bombings. As of this writing, nearly $760,000 has been raised since beginning our efforts in November!
My personal fundraising accomplishments would not have been possible without the generosity of Michel Soltani at the Mission Bar and Grill, Dermot Doyne at Penguin Pizza, Richard Rouse, Jason Savage at Savage Properties, Adam Sarbaugh at Cornerstone Real Estate, the Vlahos family, and Chad Rosner.
