Obituary: Martin D. McEachen, Mission Hill resident

Martin D. McEachen, age 51, of Boston’s Mission Hill, died Tuesday, May 26, 2015.

Marty was born in Boston, raised and educated in Boston schools and was a graduate of English High School.

Marty was employed for several years as a custodian at the West Roxbury YMCA.  He enjoyed gardening and loved animals.  Marty was a people person and well-known as the life of the party. He sends from Heaven, “too-da-loo” to everyone!

Beloved son of Patricia A. (McCann) McEachen of Quincy and the late Martin W. McEachen.

Devoted brother of Maria, Lisa, Nancy, David, Patrick and Martin E.

Cherished nephew of Theresa and Steve McCann. Marty is survived by many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and his best friends, Ronnie and Joe.  He is also survived by his loyal dog, Specks O’Keefe.

Memorial Visiting Hours will be held at the Sweeney Brothers Home for Funerals, 1 Independence Avenue, Quincy on Saturday from noon to 2 p.m. Relatives and friends are invited to attend.

At the request of the family, interment services, at a later date, will be private.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Marty’s memory may be made to Pine Street Inn, 444 Harrison Avenue, Boston, MA 02118.
