Mission Hill celebrated another great month by finding ways to involve our younger residents. The annual Halloween on the Hill took on a new format this year.  On Saturday, October 31st, John Jackson and his team from BCYF (Boston Youth and Families) brought cheer and fun in Sheehy Park….

This month, Mission Hill Main Streets will launch an anti-littering campaign late with original artwork and drawings that were submitted we gathered in collaboration with the 4-6th grade students at Mission Grammar who created  the artwork for our flyers and posters!   We thanked the students with pizzas from Penguin Pizza in Brigham Circle.  MHMS thanks the American Legion Post 327 of Mission Hill for their support of this project.

For those of you who are reading this article, our featured restaurant this month is at Papa’s Pizza at 682 Huntington Avenue.  During the month of October, mention this article with …!

Mission Hill Main Streets’ logo reads:  Eat. Play. Live.  This is the best neighborhood to enjoy it all so eat locally, play in our parks, and live by “shopping small, shopping local!”  Visit us on our webpage – www.missionhillmainstreet.com, “like” us on Facebook and download our free mobile app at Distrx.com to find the latest on our Farmer’s Markets, restaurants and coffee shops in the neighborhood.

This month we leave you with a festive poem …

This Holiday Let’s Roll

Tis the season to reflect on all the changes and apprehension experienced this year –

Quarantine, social distancing, wearing masks, creating a dulled atmosphere

Toilet paper shortage, sanitizer, home office in the middle of your dining room.

Drive by graduations and parties, travel ban, virtual meetings, zoom – zoom – zoom

Let’s pause and be grateful for our frontline heroes and all that’s near and dear.

A wish for one and all – Peace, joy, love, happiness and cheer.

Holiday 2020 Agnes L. M.M.M.
