Brigham and Women’s Hospital officially opened its new helipad on Oct. 17. The new helipad is 262 feet high, which is 50 feet higher than the old location. The helipad was relocated due to a construction project at Boston Children’s Hospital next door. BWH receives about 500 med flights each year.
