Large parts of Green Line shut down for nine days beginning Aug. 8

The MBTA is closing down a large swath of the Green Line for nine days starting Saturday, Aug. 8, suspending service along parts of every line to make signal upgrades within the central tunnel, as well as accessibility improvements on the C line.

​From Aug. 8 through Aug. 16, service will be suspended between Government Center and Babcock Street on the B branch; Government Center and Cleveland Circle on the C branch; North Station and Kenmore on the D branch; and Heath Street and North Station on the E branch, according to the T

Shuttle bus service will be available in place of the suspended Green Line service.
