Thanks will be in the air this month, as today is Veterans Day, and Thanksgiving less than two weeks away.
It is a good time to pause and reflect at the veterans memorials in Brigham Circle and on Northeastern University’s campus rather than just walking by. As veterans come home from Iraq, Afghanistan and Libya to much acclaim and scant services, it is also a good time to consider supporting Volunteers of America-Massachusetts or the Wounded Warrior Project.
On Thanksgiving, some people have more to be thankful for than others, but we all have some blessings to count. At the Gazette, we have residents who not only read the paper but also contribute mightily to it, and local businesses whose advertisements make our work possible.
Thank you.
