U.S. Representative Michael Capuano has a little-known part-time community office in Roxbury Community College’s (RCC) library.
While the office mostly works through booked appointments, the door is open to deal with anything a constituent would want, said Capuano District Rep. Dan Ryan.
With the Internet and faxes, the office “doesn’t get utilized as much as it did 10 years ago,” Ryan said. “But there’s always a lot of people who prefer interacting in person.”
Ryan added that Capuano has always had an office in Roxbury to better cover the district. The office was moved to the RCC library about eight years ago, he said.
The office is open 20 to 25 hours a week. Hours are posted on Capuano’s website at house.gov/capuano/contact/massachusetts.shtml.
