The Nov. 6 election will be a big one, and it’s time to make sure you are registered to vote so you can participate.
With the state virtually guaranteed to be won by incumbent President Barack Obama, based on high Democratic Party registration, the presidential election is actually something of an afterthought here.
But the ballot also includes a hot U.S. Senate race between Republican incumbent Scott Brown and Democratic challenger Elizabeth Warren. The race is close and your vote will count.
Voters also will weigh in on hot-button ballot questions about legalizing medical marijuana and assisted suicide.
Don’t stand on the sidelines for this one. The voter registration deadline is Oct. 17. For details, call 1-800-462-8683 or see cityofboston.gov/elections.
