A blast of gunfire apparently left one person wounded at 61 Prentiss St. on the border of the Alice Taylor Homes housing development on the afternoon of Nov. 19, according to the Boston Police Department (BPD).

Officers responding around 5 p.m. to reported gunshots discovered five .45-caliber shell casings, according to a police report obtained by the Gazette. There were reports of a gray Chevrolet Blazer SUV leaving the area, and shortly after, a vehicle matching its description and license plate number arrived at Boston Medical Center, with a person in the vehicle suffering from some type of gunshot wound.

The report does not identify the victim or give his or her condition. The occupants of the vehicle were “secured,” according to the police report.
