Police reality show features local cops

A new reality TV show about the Boston Police Department (BPD) features three officers from District B-2, which includes Mission Hill.

“Boston’s Finest” is also being advertised locally with a large mural that recently went up on the wall of the Boston Clutch Works building at 1486 Tremont St.

The unscripted documentary show, airing Wednesdays on TNT, follows officers on and off the job. Among those featured are B-2 Officers Mike Burke and Eric Merner and B-2 Detective Tim Stanton.

Stanton is a 24-year veteran who also owns a boxing gym. Merner—whose father heads the BPD drug unit—is partnered with Burke on patrol.

It is unclear whether Mission Hill makes an appearance in the series. The first two episodes, which the Gazette previewed, focus on other areas.

The show also follows several other officers and units, including the gang and fugitive units. The series is produced and narrated by well-known Boston singer and actor Donnie Wahlberg.
