Local hospitals treated many bombing victims

Hospitals in the Longwood Medical Area treated more than 70 victims from the April 15 Boston Marathon bombing, while a handful of patients remain at the facilities.

The hospitals went into lockdown with armed guards the day of the bombing.

Brigham and Women’s Hospital treated a total of 39 patients, while two remained at the hospital, as of May 10.

Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center had 24 patients, with three who remained there.

Boston Children’s Hospital treated 10 patients, one of whom was still at the hospital.
