City Councilor Mike Ross, a Mission Hill resident, is among 24 candidates who pulled papers to run for the Mayor’s Office.
Ross announced his candidacy via Twitter last month while standing in Mission Hill’s Kevin Fitzgerald Park. He tweeted, “I love this city. I believe in its people and our limitless potential.”
Other candidates include: Frank Addivinola Jr., City Councilor Felix Arroyo, John Barros, Lee Buckley, Robert Cappucci, Charles Clemons, Suffolk County District Attorney Daniel Conley, City Councilor John Connolly, City Councilor Rob Consalvo, Miniard Culpepper, Will Dorcena, Althea Garrison, John Laing Jr., Divo Monteiro, David Portnoy, Charlotte Golar Richie, Gareth Saunders, Bill Walczak, state Rep. Marty Walsh, Hassan Williams, Christopher Womack, David Wyatt and City Councilor Charles Yancey.
None of the candidates are officially on the ballot yet.
The preliminary election will be held Sept. 24 and the final election Nov. 5.
