Three longtime leaders at the local Sociedad Latina youth organization received $500 scholarships from the Borinqueño Cultural Committee of Massachusetts last month.
The recipients include: Tatiana Cortes, a Boston College senior; Taydavia Martinez, a Lesley University junior; and Shynnah Monge, who is taking Bunker Hill Community College courses.
All three are Sociedad Latina alumnae, and Martinez and Monge work there as staff assistants.
