Man charged with attempted B&E

A Roxbury man was charged with attempted to break into a Delle Avenue apartment building early this morning, according to the Boston Police Department.

Decosta Turner, 23, was arrested following a report of a breaking and entering in progress at 56 Delle Ave. around 2 a.m.

According to BPD, Turner was seen emerging from the rear of the property. He claimed to work for a “Captain Kirk” and that a friend lives in one of the building’s apartments, according to BPD. Further investigation found the person living there is not the suspect’s friend, and that a screen had been moved from a window in the rear of the building, police claim.

Turner faces charges of trespassing and attempted breaking and entering of a residence in the nighttime.

Mission Hill was hit by a string of burglaries over the Thanksgiving weekend, as the Gazette previously reported. Turner is not charged with any other crimes.
