A 17-year-old from Roslindale was arrested March 4 for allegedly firing a handgun on a Mission Hill street.
The male teen is accused of firing multiple rounds from a Ruger P85 9mm semiautomatic handgun in the area of Gurney and Tremont streets in Mission Hill just before 3 p.m., according to Suffolk County District Attorney spokesperson Jake Wark. The bullets did not cause any injuries.
Responding officers reportedly disarmed the youth and recovered the firearm, which allegedly was still loaded with seven rounds in the magazine and one in the chamber.
The teen, whose identity has not been released due to his status as a juvenile, was charged with unlawful possession of a firearm, unlawful possession of ammunition, possession of a firearm with a defaced serial number, unlawfully carrying a loaded firearm, unlawfully discharging a firearm within 500 feet of a building, and assault with a dangerous weapon.
Bail was set at $250,000 and he will return to Boston Juvenile Court next month. No date has been set yet.
