The mixed-use project at 1467 Tremont St. was approved by the Boston Redevelopment Authority (BRA) last month.
The new mixed-use, 4-story building will have 18 units of housing and approximately 1,800 square feet of ground-floor retail space for a total of 16,500 square feet. It also would have 12 motor vehicle parking spaces and 24 bicycle parking spaces.
A Gazette call to local developer Jason Savage was not returned.
According to paperwork filed with the BRA, the plan is currently for five studios, seven one-bedroom units and six two-bedroom units, all of which would be priced at market rates. All the units would be deed-restricted against leasing to full-time undergraduate students. Savage previously told the Gazette that three of the studios would be affordably priced.
The proposal is the work of Savage and Trellis Group LLC, who are already working on a similar building to replace the Boston Clutch Works building across the street.
