Sociedad Latina, a youth-oriented organization based on Mission Hill, is hosting a series of events every Thursday in July and September at Sheehy Park, according to a press release. Sheehy Park is located next to Mission Church at 1545 Tremont St.
The World Cup might be ending this Sunday, but Sociedad Latina will look to keep the soccer fever going hosting a “World Cup Field Day” July 17. Teams will compete for prizes, while music will be performed by the Los Four band.
That will be followed the next Thursday by a “Latin Rhythms” night when there will be music and dancing with Bernando Hernandez and La Tradicon. July events are capped off with an art activities night with a local DJ spinning tunes.
