City to hold meeting on Heath St. housing project

The City will hold a design update meeting about the mixed-use project proposed for the vacant land in Heath Square on June 23.

The local Back of the Hill Community Development Corporation and the Jamaica Plain Neighborhood Development Corporation are teaming on the project, which covers 10 City-owned parcels on Bromley, New Heath and Parker streets. It will combine about 40 housing units, common space for the residents and some commercial space in a four-story building.

The City’s Department of Neighborhood Development held a meeting in March to review the plan. The June 23 meeting will review design changes that came in response to public input.

The meeting will be held at 6:30 p.m. at Family Service of Greater Boston, second floor meeting room, 31 Heath St.
