The Wentworth Institute of Technology (WIT) has launched a fundraising campaign to raise money to renovate the school’s library, according to a press release.
WIT wants to garner $15 million to transform the library into an institution that relies more on providing advanced work spaces than on books.
The renovated library will be named after Douglas D. Schumann, an alumnus who has donated $5 million to the project.
“This gift will help us transform the facility into a library of the future that will provide spaces for learning and interdisciplinary collaboration not only to the students of today, but for the generations to come,” said WIT President Zorica Pantic, according to the press release.
