Changes possible to 1457 Tremont St. project

The developers of the proposed 1457 Tremont St. development have switched architects, signaling possible alterations to the project.

Leland and Suzanne DiMeco, a Mission Hill-based husband and wife development team, are planning to redevelop the vacant Roxbury Council Knights of Columbus building. Suzanne DiMeco spoke with the Gazette last summer about their plans at that time to build a 40-unit, five-story mixed-use project, but the development team has had a shakeup since then.

“We have had some big changes to our team as we replaced our architect at the end of 2016, so things have been running a little behind,” said Suzanne DiMeco in a recent email. “We are making great headway with the neighborhood and have been listening to their concerns and have been addressing them head on! I think this project is going to be one of a kind as our goals of middle-income housing matched with a super sustainable building design makes for a local building to be proud of.”

She told the Gazette to check-in later in the month for more details about the changes.
