Recent shooting on Mission Hill

This kind of heinous act has become a daily event in our cities and should be expected in a country that makes huge profits from the arms industry here and abroad, where video games that normalize violence for kids are replacing books, where HEALTH AND EDUCATION are taking a backseat to a budget that favors the military-industrial complex.  A country where you have an imbecilic leader as a president and a GOP leadership in both houses that pay lip service to creating jobs, training young people to lead successful lives, fixing the deteriorating infrastructure … and the list goes on. The ONLY thing these elected officials are interested in is protecting the wealth of the 1% and the profits of our corporations.  If you believe otherwise, you must be one of the uninformed and naive voters who elected them.

R.I.P. Andres Cruz and condolences to all the Mission Hill residents who knew and loved him.  You deserved better.

Supporting automatic voter registration

As a voter in the community, I know that our democracy works best when everyone’s voice is heard. Mission Hill, Boston is a neighborhood filled with good, hardworking people who deserve to have their vote counted on Election Day. That’s why I support Automatic Voter Registration (AVR).

AVR allows eligible voters in Massachusetts to automatically register when they interact with a state agency. AVR also updates their contact information, ensuring that we have the most accurate rolls possible. Now more than ever, we need to make sure that our elections are safe and secure. Passing the AVR is the best way to make it happen.

On behalf of the Mr Cruz’ family and the entire Mission Hill Community,
