A new sushi and stir-fry restaurant has opened in Mission Hill.
Mission Sushi and Wok, located at 1625 Tremont St., offers sushi and stir-fry dishes as well as chicken wings, bao bao buns and a specialty item: sushi pizza. A sushi pizza is made with a thin layer of rice and nori—seaweed used in sushi rolls—for a base and topped with slices of tuna, salmon, tomato and jalapeño peppers, owner Christine Chan told the Gazette.
“It’s great for sharing,” she said.
Mission Sushi and Wok is a spin-off from Ginger Exchange Restaurant in Inman Square in Cambridge, which she also owns, Chan said.
“We saw a great opportunity to grow our restaurant in the area” and took it, she said.
The restaurant, which opened in early March, offers a full bar, including sharable scorpion bowls, and delivery to the area, including hospitals in the LMA. It is open from 11:30 a.m. daily, closing at midnight most nights, 1 a.m. on Fridays and Saturdays and 10 p.m. on Sundays. Its website is missionsushi.com.
