Patrick Barry, the Mission Hill man already charged with one attempted sexual assault on June 15, will be charged as soon as today with a second, similar assault that day, according to the Suffolk County District Attorney’s Office.
Barry, a 21-year-old Northeastern University student, will be charged with assault with intent to rape and other charges, according to DA’s Office spokesperson Jake Wark. Arraignment will be at West Roxbury District Court in Jamaica Plain. The charges are based on “evidence developed by Boston Police detectives during the past 24 hours,” according to Wark.
Both attacks occurred within an hour of each other along Huntington Avenue, and both involved a woman being attacked from behind and cut with a knife. The second attack occurred about a block from Barry’s Huntington Avenue home.
