Projects, large and small, that soon will improve Mission Hill are good signs of the times.
A mixed-use development at the Clutch Works site that will transform the Tremont streetscape. A new, much-needed community center at Mission Park. An inventive redevelopment of the Art Park site. A lively playground renovation. It is great to see these improvements, and encouraging that they come from both public and private funders.
Also notable is that they all involved extensive public input, something that could not always be said for local redevelopment in recent decades. Most people involved, on the residents and developers sides alike, seem to agree that input made for much better projects.
May the Mission Hill momentum continue with that collaborative spirit and respect for the neighborhood.
