A $50,000 study on improving the Tobin Community Center’s outdoor space is among the items in the City’s new Fiscal Year 2016 capital budget, according to the Mayor’s Office.
Also in the budget: the $12 million renovation of 67 Alleghany St. into the new home for Fenway High School starting this fall.
The study for the Tobin Center at 1481 Tremont St. will examine “how to enhance the use of space by adding outdoor elements to the back yard and entryway to provide for outdoor community space,” according to the Mayor’s Office.
The renovation for Fenway High includes the ongoing construction of an addition for a new cafeteria and auditorium. The building was formerly home to Mission Hill K-8 School and New Mission High School before a controversial school-move plan in 2012.
